Calling Ourselves Home-A Women’s Retreat
October 11 @ 9:00 am - October 13 @ 1:30 pm$350.00
Do you remember a time when you felt complete and whole? It may have been as long ago as childhood when you didn’t even know you could give pieces of yourself away, or splinter off parts of yourself that were not meeting other’s approval. Have you been living (reluctantly) with parts of life that do not nourish you, making you feel tired or numbed out? Join us in this women’s retreat where we will tap into your own wisdom while we learn from seasoned and wise teachers who can help us find our way back to loving our whole Selves. You will find joyful and nourishing ways to welcome your spirit and aliveness back into your body through a spectrum of creative techniques from the latest science of “food-as-medicine”, to the age old traditions used by our women ancestors. We will partake in shamanic journeying, a Cacao Ceremony, using Nature as our teacher, and learning to call ourselves back through Sacred Dance, art and song! This is a three day retreat which includes lodging and meals*. If you have been looking for a way to reclaim your health, vibrancy and joy, this event may be just what you are seeking.
(Cacao is a sacred plant medicine from which chocolate is made. The cacao we will use is a ceremonial grade from Guatemala. During a cacao ceremony, you may experience things similar to other spiritual practices: deeper connection to Self, deeper connection to Love, a sense of clarity and calm.)
This retreat will be a continual process of letting go and also of calling in. When we talk about letting go, it’s all about stepping out of old patterns and bypassing the mind. When this process happens, there is a re-embodying at our core which allows us to partner with our bodies and truly listen. “Calling Ourselves Home” is a retreat about how to find “me time”, so we can awaken to our hearts passions and desires. It’s about moving toward freedom and flow when we live from a place of authenticity.
Days in retreat will be spent connecting deeply with our bodies in nature. We will weave new connections through ritual and there will time spent exploring our relationship to food and our bodies. Where do our food choices come from, a place of self-love or self soothe? Exploration of trigger foods and Gut-Brain Axis will be a part of this experience along with personal stories of food transformations from our teachers. There will also be time to relax, listening to singing bowls and guided meditations.
-Participants will have the option to join in with a local sweatlodge community who offers free sweatlodges on regular basis on the Terramuse premises on Friday evening.
– Any person who identifies as a woman is welcome to this retreat.
-Vegetarian meals, all specialty diets beyond this menu will need to be supplemented by the guest.
